This single has been a long time coming. It was actually one of the first songs we ever wrote, but we couldn't find the right vibe for it. This spring however, Pelle suddenly found this Californian inspiration, which seemed perfect for the lyrics and melody. He changed quite a lot of the cords giving the tune a somewhat jazzy feeling. The lyrics are like two soft, short monologues. First verse is the words of the one leaving. Second verse expresses the feeling of the one being left behind. No drama. Only a tender sentimentality combined with the acceptance of an inevitable take off and the beauty of new beginnings.
