Montelimar - where I might have been

Montelimar is a place. A distinct childhood memory of my father on a mountain in the South of France. Could be Montelimar, but I can't recall. He is joyfully proud of some improvised sandwiches - ham, cheese, tomato and baguette. I pick wild thyme in addition and try to trust this moment of bliss before it slips away. I had already grown antennas to detect any mood alterations almost in advance.

I remember bringing home castanets from France. Their fierce feminine power was integrated in my childish dance.

The lyrics are build around this and one other memory. The saddest one. Maybe the most truthful one. A private vulnerable moment of my father, which I wasn't supposed to witness.

We pay a musical tribute to producer Phil Spector on this track adding both nostalgia, warmth and a touch of humor.

Take care of Montelimar - A song for all of us that once grew antennas.
